The IRTG is structured in such a way as to ensure that all affiliated PhD students maintain a consistently high standard in their research. It will also help them to successfully complete their PhD projects. Its central aim is to guarantee a clearly outlined research itinerary. At the same time, students will be given sufficient space to develop their own ideas and work on their research. This objective will be realized through the PhD candidates’ close cooperation with the IRTG’s senior academics and the increasing freeing up of candidates' schedules in later semesters. The IRTG integrates all of its members into the closely-knit research environment of the CRC, and it aims to introduce its members to a wide variety of career options both inside and outside academia.
The IRTG currently includes 15 postgraduates.
