Information Infrastructure

The virtual research environment, developed during the first funding period, supports joint research within the Collaborative Research Centre. It promotes transparency, the exchange of ideas and discussion between the individual projects. It furthermore complements research  and analysis as well as transformational processes of research data. It also supports these data’s publication and reusability. The demand for data management and the necessary tools is increasing in proportion  the fields of research. Establishing research data management plans and good-practice guidelines for the handling of data as well as the enhancement and development of tools are the key challenges for the second funding period.
